This System Can Help You With Achieving All Of Your Goals
Posted by Reinecke Jesslyn on November 24th, 2009 filed in Goal SettingHow is your future looking, can you envision greatness? Please tell me you have a vision of the life you desire. It’s a must. After all, if you know where it is you wish to go, there’s a good chance you will get there. If you have no idea of where it is you’re going, it is certain you’ll get nowhere.
Zig Ziglar, one of the all time greats of goal setting and achievement said it like this: Ziglar srates that he can take the sharpest archer the world over and within only a couple minutes, anybody he’d train could be shooting arrows with accuracy much greater than that of the archer. Of course, he would put a blinfold on the archer and turn him around three or four times so he’d have no idea where the target was located.
The point Ziglar is making is nobody can strike a target which they’re not able to see? If you’re hoping to get more out of life but lack a clear vision of what it is you want, won’t it be impossible to hit the target?
Some will refer to it as goal setting while others might their big dream. However you reference it, it is so very important to your living the life you deserve that your goal is clear and powerful.
After you’ve developed a clear goal for yourself, you can then reverse engineer the path to take in order to get there. The best way to achieve your goal is to establish where you’re headed then work on what it will take to get there.
Please allow me to clarify this idea. I happened to be watching the 2008 summer Olympics hosted by Beijing, China. The event being covered was the women’s marathon. It’s a 26 mile run which concluds in the main track and field arena. After running 25.75 miles the runners entered the arena, did a full lap around the track and crossed the finish line. Crossing that finish line marked the conclusion of a 26 mile race.
Did the person responsible for establishing the marathon route randomly pick a distant point to start the race from the stadium and held out hope that the route chosen would somehow work out to 26 miles? Or, do you suppose they started at the finish line inside the arena, added a complete lap around the track, and started from there, working backwards, to find a starting point 26 miles away?
Certainly, mapping out a 26 mile marathon would’ve been impossible unless the Olympic committee began at the finish line and worked their way backwards determining the start of the race. This should stand as a fine example to help you set and reach a goal.
Most importantly, taking meaningful action to reach your goal is of utmost importance. Take action now, start today. It will do you no good having your vision and working backwards on the steps necessary to get there if those steps aren’t actually taken.
Let me give you these 7 words that can help you reach your goals and change your life. Start now with the end in mind. If you do this, if you take action starting today, right now, with your ultimate vision in mind then you will have no choice but to achieve the life you desire and deserve. This I can promise you.
